2nd Assignment Summary
I've learned the difference in researching when using wikipedia and GVRL. GVRL gives some very credible and educational sources on the topic you look for, whereas wikipedia, although does some some useful resources, also has information from users like you and I which can potentially be opinionated. That's not to say that wikipedia is useless, it can be very useful as an additional resource along with the other resources you use to research your topics. The IRIS tutorials were very helpful in the sense that it teaches you how to try to keep focus on what you are trying to explore as well as narrowing your ideas down by jotting down questions you would want answered about the topic you are researching.

Hi, Anthony:
ReplyDeleteThanks for your efforts. Finding a process of taking notes during research whether digital or pen and paper are really important and will save time in the long run. I use Wikipedia quite a bit for presearch or to get a basic understanding of a topic but GVRL does provide expert authors and that can be valuable for academic research.
Cheers,
Andrea
